The Two Frogs Story With Pictures in English
Once upon a time, there lived a few frogs in a pond. Among these frogs was a deaf frog. He was okay with his disability and lived with all other frogs just like one of the regular frogs.
One day, all the frogs decide to go around the forest. While they were happily hopping around, the deaf frog, along with another frog, fell into a well. The other frogs tried to help the two frogs out. The other frogs soon realized the well is too deep and a frog can’t possibly jump out of this deep well.
When both the frogs try jumping up, the other frogs tell them it is too deep and they can’t reach the top of the well. The frog with good hearing, started losing hope after hearing this. He slowly reduced his attempts to jump out and eventually gave up. While trying to jump, he collapsed and fell to his death.
The deaf frog who did not hear any of this discouragement or commotion, continued to jump. Despite all the frogs shouting about the safety and chances of an accident, the deaf frog kept trying. Eventually, after a few more attempts, the deaf frog makes it out of the well. He did not worry about what the other frogs told him.
Once he jumped out of the deep well, all the other frogs cheered for him. He turned back to look at his friend who gave up mid-way and lay dead in the well. The other frogs asked him how he succeeded and did not give up when they repeatedly asked him to. To this, the frog replied, “Since I am deaf, I could not hear you. I could only see your actions and I thought you were cheering me. It gave me more confidence and strength to keep trying and I succeeded in the end”.
